Waterleaf’s design for renovation transformed the 30,000 square foot building into open and flexible office, conference, and warehouse spaces. Designed for LEED Silver Certification (formally awarded in April 2008) , the Henry V headquarters incorporated many sustainable features including:
- Strategic, expansive daylighting and other energy saving methods
- Full seismic upgrade with the reuse of existing materials
- Bioswale featuring NW native plants, serving as a natural stormwater filter and serving as a buffer between the building and MLK Blvd, creating a pleasant environment for the building’s occupants and the surrounding community
