Zeta Fernando - Job Captain

Zeta Fernando, LEED AP ND

Job Captain

Zeta was born in London and moved to Oregon as a child where she grew up among the big trees and pastures of Wilsonville. She studied architecture at the University of Oregon, moved by how architects have to learn a little bit of everything to practice good design. After graduating she went to work for a small firm in Eugene designing mixed-use neighborhoods where she facilitated design workshops that engaged clients and helped them express their needs for buildings and the spaces between. Inspired by her travels to Japan she enjoys incorporating lessons learned from the Japanese design of the surrounding context and approaches projects with holistic sustainable design goals. Zeta is a member of Waterleaf's Portland Winter Light Festival design group and also works hard to advance sustainability goals as a member of Waterleaf's Greening Group. Zeta also volunteers with Architects in Schools and is on the ZERO Coalition Communications Committee.
