Troy Erickson

Job Captain

Raised in the Pacific Northwest but subsequently moving abroad and relocating multiple times across the Contiguous 48 throughout his teen years, Troy was introduced to a number of different cultures, languages, cuisines, and world views. Experiencing how people throughout different regions, cultures and environments live, he became interested in Architecture and the built environment and how it is both influenced and influences culture and the daily lives of people throughout the world. With that, he appreciates that architecture has a purpose beyond aesthetic impression and how it can both serve or hinder the greater socio-economic function of people’s daily lives; the question being ‘How can Architecture benefit and embetter the lives of others?’. Inspired by the abundance of natural building materials and the regional aesthetic of the Pacific Northwest, Troy appreciates using and highlighting regional materials in design.
